Logic 105: Logic's Environment Explored
Aug 20th, 2008 by Sral
Great video.
This one was really helpfull for coming more to grasps with Logic as a whole.
The environment is a part of Logic i never would have gone into had it not been for this video. Now id like a follow-up video.... I still feel there are ground to be covered in handeling the enviroment like a pro. For example id like some more info on how to use a MIDI part to export to my external hardvare synth, and then import the sounds from this synth into Logic....
Logic 201: Steve H's Logic Master Class #1

This was a great video. Very helpeful in a lot of ways.
The only problem is that a lot of the triks n tips in this one do not relate to logic pro 7. Bummer for me...
But on the overall, a good video highliting even more great feauteres in Logic, and working
with MIDI.
Keep up the good work.

Photoshop 101: Mastering Photoshop CS 3
Aug 18th, 2008 by Joseph Harper
As a newbie to Photoshop, learning the basics was a priority on getting to grips with this powerful program.
To this end your tutorials have given me the confidence to delve further into this intimidating software.
I realise that this is only the start of a long learning curve and further instruction is needed to get where I want to be. So I might be calling upon you again in the near future.
Logic 403: Mixing R&B
Aug 18th, 2008 by BOBBY
Loved the tutorial and David's clear grounded approach to the creative world of mixing. Two things i would of appreciated more was to hear David share the little key command/navigation tricks while mixing and set up track labeling better...I'm always looking for more tricks and faster ways to fly. I really dig what you guys offer ! Thank you so much! I would love to see a 3 hour tutorial spent on just VOCALS...really hip ways to achievie better mixes/blends/busses/comps and efx...Thanks Again!
Logic 204: Ultrabeat Unleashed
Aug 17th, 2008 by Jim Stroud
Your tutorials are without a doubt the best in the business. The video examples are top notch and Steve H. and Martin Sitter are great instructors. So far I have purchased Logic 101 "Mastering Logic" with Martin & 204 Ultrabeat Unleashed with Steve H. and have found both invaluable. Both instructors are very knowledgeable & down to earth. The webpage is easy to navigate, and purchasing and downloading is a breeze. I have also visited & downloaded loops from Audiobase.com with the same positive results. Price is VERY fair for what you receive. I plan on getting "Synthesis with Sculpture" next.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Logic 205: Synthesis With Sculpture
Aug 14th, 2008 by Giacomo De Caterini
Wery well done: in little more than 2 hours one has a very comprehensive and complete training on the subject. Valid also for busy pros like me, who rutinely go through dozen of manuals, but do value the sheer efficency of two dedicated hours. Top marks, I will by again from your collection.

Logic 101: Core Logic 8
Aug 10th, 2008 by Z.M
Almost finishing this one. Quality wise it is a great product, my logic pro learning curve changed from hard (reading the manuals) to really easy. Technically wise it is a great product too but i'll say a 4.5 out of 5 because the screen on the N.E.D is a little to small. Also, when a music track is playing and the instructor talks at the same time it is kinda strange. I truly believe this is the future for educational purposes, videos are replacing books. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to learn logic fast.
Logic 305: WaveBurner

This is a very good tutorial. I really got a grasp of the application after watching it. It also gave me a better understanding of the Mastering process, which was always somewhat of a mystery to me.

Thanks, MPV!

Mac OS X 101: Mastering Your Mac
Aug 6th, 2008 by Pat Rogers
Excellent learning tool for me ...a newbie to computers. The tutorials are clear and concise with pertinent information. I like the fact that they are very short in duration.
I had some difficulty viewing my lessons at first. Evan (in Support) was most helpful in getting me on track. Evan was patient and unbelievably quick in getting back to me with suggestions to get me going. All in all...this is an outstanding program and I would recommend it to anyone new to MAC. The price is just right.

Motion 101: Core Motion 3
Aug 5th, 2008 by Hisham Attia
Hi there

Once again a very comprehensive resource for Motion, especially for beginners. Michael explains thoroughly Motion's interface and go through the various combinations and possibilities that Motion offers. He also includes some good tricks and short cuts to achieving certain effects. The examples given were clear and straight to the points. They explained the tools and the effects efficiently. The one little constructive feedback that I would like to give relates to real examples. Instead of showing the tools, the effects they cause and how to customise them in general, it would have been very helpful to go through a specific tutorial for a particular effect, which is a combination of different effects. For example, a tutorial of a specific advertisement, a NacProVideo ad for example, in which several different methods have been used to achieve the desired end result. Otherwise, the courseware is a handy resource and a good overview of Motion's capabilities.

Regards,

Hisham
Garageband 08 101: Core Garageband 08
Aug 5th, 2008 by Stephen Hill
Very informative and easy to follow.

I was hoping for some instruction on using the Advanced features of - expression, foot control, modulation, pitchbend. etc. but did not see it. Maybe I just missed and will need to go back through the tutorial.

It would be helpful to me to see a tutorial that had examples using GarageBand for orchestral music with the Apple Symphony Orchestra Jam Pack.

Thanks for your help.

Motion 3 105: 3D In Motion
Aug 5th, 2008 by Jeff
Motion 3 105 is what I have been waiting for. It gives basic instruction on cameras, lights, camera movements, etc. in 3D space and explains how to use each of these in production editing and final view release. If you are new to 3D Motion... this is the tutorial you need to get up and running quickly. I highly recommend it. If you are a seasoned veteran, this is a great review of the features of Motion 3. I promise you will learn a few new tricks.

If the start of TNT2 is so good i'll hold my breath for the upcoming!
I love the Environment exploring and treatment. Gives me instant idea of what's able to do in my music production.
Steve H. & Martin S. sound so friendly and this helps to get deeper into the process.
One more word...... Excellent!
Logic 303: Logic TNT2

The tips are very usefull and the tricks really contribute to stimulate creativity.
It also made me realize how amazing Logic Pro is. I knew it was a powerfull platform, but it's more than that, it's dynamite ! The possibilities are endless, it's almost scary...

Final Cut 6 101: Core Final Cut
Aug 4th, 2008 by Hisham Attia
Hi there

I found FCP6 101 a very useful resource. It addresses the majority of aspects anyone needs to know to get going with Final Cut. Michael explains the various aspects in a clear and concise way. He also provides a big picture view on why you should do a particular thing in a specific way to help you be more efficient in your editing.

My little constructive feedback on the course targets 2 aspects. First, I would rather have seen a more tutorial-based approach towards the editing technique. For example, beginning with a non edited version, then showing the final edited version and then taking you on the journey to achieve that final cut. This will prepare the learner to see what (s)he has, where (s)he wants to go and how to get there. Second, and this is more of a personal preference, I would have liked different footage for different sections of the course. Some of the chosen footage is not very effective with respect to what Michael was explaining. Maybe different examples would have been better. This also links back to the point I made earlier about tutorial-based course.
All in all, a very useful and a good coverage of material is represented here. My thanks and appreciation to the MPV team for the good work.

Regards,

Hisham Attia

Soundtrack Pro 101: Core Soundtrack Pro 2
Aug 3rd, 2008 by Randall Boston
Hello,

This was a great tutorial for Soudtrack Pro. It gave me a good understanding of what Soundtrack Pro is capable of.

However, when Martin mentioned this tutorial in his Logic 8 101 video, I assumed that it would be more about using STP as a utility for Logic.

Part 2 of the tutorial was most relevant for me because I wanted to learn how to clean up my audio files. All in all, this was a good tutorial, thanks.

Pro Tools 7 101: Mastering Pro Tools 7
Aug 2nd, 2008 by Shauna
This disk is great. I did chose to download it my computer opposed to waiting for the disk and I had no problems. I've had protools for months, but really had trouble doing basic functions. There is so much potential and technology, but I really had no direction on how to use it. The lessons explain how to do basic stuff and so much more in an easy to understand, step by step manner. And whenever I have a question its easy to read through the titles and go back to the exact lesson that answers it.I love it. Definantly one of the best investments I've made.

Great tutorial! I am not sure I could have learned so much just from a book. I learn by seeing and then doing, which is what this tutorial is. NICE! I wish there was a way to type in a subject and have it pop up in the correct part of the tutorial...that would be amazing!

Very helpful and understandable.

Logic 303: Logic TNT1

I was very impressed with the method Logic 303 was presented. The person doing each video was clear and concise in his presentation. Although I'm new to Logic 8, I felt very comfortable with the instructions given. It's clear to me that I will be purchasing other packages about Logic as I become more familiar with the program. The more I learn, the more questions I have. I'm sure from what I've seen that your group of instructors will be able to answer all my questions. A very nice job all around. Congratulations!

To have access, to what appears, to me, to be some of the finest Logic minds in the business, for this amount of money, is simply awesome. These TNT tutorials really plant the seed for some amazing creative possibilities, especially in regards to the (until now) dreaded ENVIRONMENT! Can't wait for the next installment. Great work guys!

Logic 101: Core Logic 8
Jul 31st, 2008 by Craig Jacks
Logic Pro 8 101 is bursting at the seams with all kinds of foundational information that I didn't expect when I bought it. It's not simply an overview of Logic—it covers tons of other things that everyone who records sound needs to know. It really filled a lot of the holes I had in my understanding of basic sound and song construction, plus the video is split up into well titled sections that make going back and finding anything in the tutorial a total breeze.

Logic 201: Steve H's Logic Master Class #1
Jul 29th, 2008 by Douglas Gifford
A little treat each month.

Logic is full of little nooks and crannies and this series addresses a number of these. I like the pace (a little bit at a time) and I like the freedom this format gives to Steve H to cover some of the esoterica of Logic.

The organisation, pace, and delivery of the tutorials is very good, as is usual for MacProVideo.com products. Most useful (to me) were the videos on side chaining, layering, and the playable EQ. I watched the others with interest and may yet actually use this information. The cameos are a nice feature: it's very interesting to note the differences and similarities in how different people approach making music.

I find myself turning to the MacProVideo.com tutorials rather than the Logic manual to refresh my memory about Logic features. A very useful adjunct to the videos (especially the subscription and master class videos) would be an index of topics.
Logic 404: Mixing Electronica
Jul 29th, 2008 by Douglas Gifford
I have no background in electronica, but I enjoyed "Mixing R&B" and learned some very useful approaches from that, so I bought this one.

I've watched the video twice now and enjoyed it a lot. It's well-paced and Olaf has an excellent rapport as a trainer. In many ways, his message mirrors David Isaac's--use EQ, pan, level, and reverb to aurally separate the voices; hearing that same message in two contexts suggests that this is the foundation of mixing. That in itself is useful information.

I have one global suggestion for the videos: it would be very useful to be able to control the respective levels of the trainer's voice and the music. I find it difficult to hear subtle changes in the mix when I'm also listening to someone speak. A balance slider would allow me to go back, mute the voice, and more-carefully listen to the changes in the music.
Logic 101: Mastering Logic 7
Jul 28th, 2008 by Folco Vichi
Hi Martin. All the tutorial are eccellent; I'd like suggest only, for technical understanding, much more subtitles, also in english, with option to activate them or not. Thiss should be very useful for all people that don't understand well english. But the tutorials are great.
Motion 3 105: 3D In Motion
Jul 28th, 2008 by Tim Parkinson
Wow, this was not what I expected. It really explained a lot about working in 3D space. Foundational concepts, not a bunch of flashy tricks. Solid information. Textbook. There were some decent tutorials to work through, I think if the video files used were downloadable, I might be more inclined to work along with the tutorial. I would definitely purchase more Motion-oriented videos from this trainer.
