I really enjoyed the tutorial.

Oslav had some great techniques on mixing. I really liked his simple approach and clear instructions.
If only I had access to this 8 years ago when I had started out.

Great work ;)

This is my favorite MacProVideo-Tutorial so far. It offers so many helpful hints to make electron dance music productions sound great with Logic. Olav B. has done a great job and he seemed to enjoy making the tutorial as much as I watched it.

I have no background in electronica, but I enjoyed "Mixing R&B" and learned some very useful approaches from that, so I bought this one.

I've watched the video twice now and enjoyed it a lot. It's well-paced and Olaf has an excellent rapport as a trainer. In many ways, his message mirrors David Isaac's--use EQ, pan, level, and reverb to aurally separate the voices; hearing that same message in two contexts suggests that this is the foundation of mixing. That in itself is useful information.

I have one global suggestion for the videos: it would be very useful to be able to control the respective levels of the trainer's voice and the music. I find it difficult to hear subtle changes in the mix when I'm also listening to someone speak. A balance slider would allow me to go back, mute the voice, and more-carefully listen to the changes in the music.

I have learned quite a bit of watching this tutorial. Especially the part with sends and busses, plus sidechaining been very usefull. How to use the different effects. I like the long videos, instead of the short ones.

No better way to learn than from the pros and producers who are influential because they set the bar high.

Logic 404: Mixing Electronica is produced by legendary House music master Olav Basoski. Olav's sound is one of the most sought after sounds in the electronic scene, and his mixes are considered by many to be the best in the industry.

In this 2-hour tutorial-video, Olav shows you the secrets he uses to make his mixes shine -- every time! Olav will introduce you to important mix concepts including parallel compression, side chaining compressors to give the kick drum presence, setting levels and pan positions, as well as adding the proper reverb to put space into your mix.

Watching these videos is almost as good as sitting in the studio with Olav himself. Along the way, you'll learn some hard-won knowledge including correctly setting the level of your kick drum, when to take a break from mixing, and how to ensure your bass is not too strong for a vinyl cutting press.
