Ableton Live is a great DAW (digital audio workstation) that appeals to users at all levels from beginners to experts. But if you are new to the platform, things might initially seem a little daunting. Luckily, Rishabh Rajan is here with a whole course to help you get up and running in Live 10. 

In this short video from the course Ableton Live 10 103: Audio Essentials, Rishabh walks you through the process of recording audio in Session view - one of the core concepts when using Live.

You'll see how to check in the Preferences that the audio input settings are all correct, then how to assign inputs and outputs to pick up your external sound source - in this case, a synthesizer. Rishabh explains how to activate monitoring and its various different modes so you only hear signal when you need to.
