Melville, NY – June 30th, 2017 – Since its release in 2015, Korg’s flagship Pa4X Professional Arranger has been setting new standards for the performing musician. Now, Korg is pleased to offer a free update which includes new features, improvements on some of the most go-to existing functions, new sounds and new performance tools. Users will find more modern Styles including those added to the Pop, Ballad and Dance genres, as well as new Sounds such as the Italian Grand Piano, Church Organs, Saxophones, Accordions, Bandoneon, Synth Leads, and Pads. The update will also include an extra User Drum Kit bank for a total of 256 locations.
Adding a new level of performance possibilities is the KAOSS FX, which turns the color touch screen into an X/Y control surface, providing real-time control over numerous attributes of the Pa4x. From subtle morphing between Variations or Drum Kit types, to fine mixing between accompaniment sounds and even live re-shaping of ongoing rhythms, the KAOSS implementation adds even more creativity and variety to the already extensive performance options the Pa4X offers.
2.0 also features a more customizable Songbook allowing for Styles or Songs to be replaced from existing Songbook entries. In addition, the Split Points can also be saved with each Keyboard Set and MIDI connection is now available through the USB HOST, in addition to the USB DEVICE and MIDI ports, which will increase connectivity options without the need for additional adapters.
The software is now available for update. For more information, visit www.korg.com.
