Check out these 3 synth cases from a super affordale sub $49 rack for the Neutron or Model D and/or eurorack to gorgeous hand-crafted wooden cases that also accomoadate the Arturia KeyStep.

These beautifully hand-crafted birch cases fit the needs of a wide range of synth owners, from those sporting a Behringer Model D and an Arturia KeyStep, to Neutron owners, to eurorack players.

If you want your Behringer Model D and Arturia Keystep setup to look more like an authentic Minimoog in a smaller form factor then read on!

Here's the lowdown on the DCASE, DCASE TWO and DCAPS:

Single Row DCASE ONE- 269$ + shipping

A beautiful hand-crafted wooden case made out of high quality birch Multiplex panels for the Arturia KeyStep and Behringer Model-D and/or other Eurorack compatible modules. The design leans towards the original Minimoog Model-D but in a smaller shape. Like the original, the housing of the synthesizer module can be tilted.

Being able to house the Behringer Model-D, the Arturia KeyStep and additional Eurorack modules, it provides great space for creativity.

Single Row DCASE ONE

Features:

  • Handcrafted and custom built
  • Back can be tilted into several angles
  • Accommodates Arturia Keystep
  • Eurorack format for Behringer Model D, Neutron or many other Eurorack compatible modules
  • 3D printed connection Panel for Behringer Model D or Neutron. To shift the original board into the case.
  • High quality materials

Materials:

  • Plywood
  • Hard wax oil
  • PLA 3D printer filament – This semi-matte PLA filament eliminates the glossy appearance seen on most PLA 3D prints.
  • Eurorack aluminium profiles

Double ROW DCASE TWO - 369 $ + shipping

(Also available as extension kit for 129 $ + shipping)

During the design and construction of the first case, the idea was born to make it extendable with further rows for Eurorack modules.

The double row DCASE can be either fully assembled or as extension kit purchased. The extension kit contains 2 metal brackets, the wooden housing with the aluminium profiles and wood glue. The extension enables to house not only further Eurorack modules but also the new Behringer Neutron.

Single Row DCASE TWO with Behringer Neutron, Model D and Arturia KeyStep.

Features:

  • Handcrafted and custom built
  • Back can be tilted into several angles
  • Accommodates Arturia Keystep

DCAPS - 49$ + shipping

While putting all Behringer synthesiser into the wooden case, the original metal cases became unused and maybe waste. The DCAPS will avoid throwing such stable metal cases and adding another row for EURORACK modules on the wooden case. The DCAPS can be also used without the wooden case for better stand of the Model-D or Neutron. They provide even some more space for additional modules.

Features:

  • Handcrafted and custom built
  • Eurorack format for Eurorack compatible modules
  • High quality materials
  • As standalone or extension of DCASE (3D printed mounting brackets are included)
  • Fits Behringer Model D and Neutron case

Materials:

  • PLA 3D printer filament – This semi-matte PLA filament eliminates the glossy appearance seen on most PLA 3D prints.

While the single row DCASE can be already ordered, the double row DCASE and DCAPS will be soon available on http://www.spillerphoto.com
DCASES are made to order and will be shipped 2 weeks after the order date.
DCAPS will be directly available.

The Dcaps are a good idea but how are the extra modules powered? Does the Model D case contain a power rail? Do I have to buy a power supply? I have a model d on the way so I'm curious, what is inside the case?
