You're only as good as your source material, and in this video Todd Barton shows how this powerful synth module gives you complete control over the sound you generate.

Buchla modular synths are amazing instruments but they can seem overwhelming at first! Luckily Buchla expert Todd Barton is here to guide you through the ins and outs. In this three minute video from the course Buchla 101: The 200e Series Modules, he focuses on the 261e Complex Waveform Generator module, demonstrating how it differ from conventional modules in various ways.

The two oscillators in this module give you very precise control over the waveforms that the module generates and they can also be controlled by CV. Todd breaks down how MIDI sync modes work as well as how the clever Remote Enable function, common to all Buchla 200e modules, lets you take a snapshot of your module’s knob settings and memorise and store them. This powerful module is one of the most flexible around when it comes to generating truly unique source signal!
