News just in. There's a new MIDI controller coming soon that is definitely worth your attention, Zvuk9. It features large pads which can be assigned to different MIDI channels, polyphonic aftertouch, velocity, and can be used with hardware synths and drum machines as well as any MIDI compatible apps on your digital and computer devices.
The fact the XY position data on the big pads can be recognized is as useful for drumming as it is for mixing in any DAW like Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, etc.
The team behind Zvuk9 is gearing up to launch soon. And we're waiting to hear what the price will be.
Here's some more info and a video on the Zvuk9 MIDI controller:
"Zvuk9 is an expressive music controller that sends note, touch position and movement, velocity and polyphonic aftertouch. Position coordinates, X and Y are MIDI assignable and together with velocity and polyphonic aftertouch makes Zvuk9 a highly expressive MIDI controller. X and Y assignments can be set global, the same for all pads, or unique per each pad and that cane be very useful when playing drums, for example. Ability to set unique MIDI channel per pad makes our controller suitable for polyphonic expression. Scale, tonic and chords can be set with onboard controls so playing it even without a lot of practice is easy, there are no out of scale keys to hit.
"With Zvuk9 there is no excessive menu diving, all important controls are available by hardware knobs and buttons and since, in addition to MIDI over USB, it has a MIDI out too, it can be plugged in hardware synth and used without a computer."
Zvuk Machines are planning to crowdfund Zvuk9 in September. Stay tuned for more details.
