How are you supposed to use this in Logic Pro X since it's just an application?

Hi jamr, you're right it's a separate application, not a plug-in, so you can't use it inside Logic. You'll need to export your audio file and open it in Spectre.

Set it up as a network connection using the Apple AUNetSend plugin and you can monitor it in realtime.
