Cycling 74 Max 8 has been announced just a matter of days after Ableton announced Live 10. Both are coming in 2018 and, of course, a version of Max for Live will be included with Ableton Live 10.
For those into creating audio-related programming you'll know about Max, the visual programming environments where you can simply patch objects to other objects using virtual patch cables to create graphics, sounds, and interactive experiences.

We are planning to release a Max 8 upgrade in the second quarter of 2018 with many performance and workflow improvements that we will begin to detail in the coming months.
The Ableton Live 10 beta is using a preliminary version of Max 8. Here are a few things to know about what’s going on.
As of November 2, 2017 anyone who purchases a full version or an upgrade to Max 7 will receive an upgrade to Max 8 for free. Anyone who is an active Max subscriber when Max 8 is released will have access to the new version.
