Korg's Gadget has come to the Mac desktop and in this short video, Hollin Jones guides you through adding modules, programming beats and synth lines to make a track in a couple of minutes.

Korg's Gadget is hugely successful on the iPad and now the company has brought this innovative music-making system to the Mac desktop. Along the way it's gained some new modules for audio recording and guitar processing, a 4-way screen system and the ability to use all the Gadgets as plug-ins! In this short video from the course Gadget 101: Absolute Beginner's Guide , Gadget expert Hollin Jones shows you how to navigate the Gadget library, add an instrument and trigger and record sounds.

After loading up a Gadget you'll see how to program a beat using the mouse - keyboard input is available too of course - and then add a synth part on top with another Gadget. After exploring the different kinds of MIDI grid available to you, Hollin then demonstrates swapping out Gadgets to change up the sound. Check out the rest of the videos in this course to become a Gadget master!
