Native Instruments Unveil Native Access BETA Program
Rounik Sethi on Thu, June 23rd | 1 comments
It looks like NI are doing away with Service Center at some point in the near future. But, worry not, Native Access will be the new way to get your NI goodies downloaded, installed and activated.

According to NI the idea behind Native Access is for us to spend less time managing products and more time making music. I’ll take that.

At the moment, Native Access is in a closed BETA meaning you’ll have to apply to get involved (and in return help BETA test with a view to squashing any bugs).

Here’s what NI have to say at this early stage about Native Access.

Native Access is your one-stop hub for easy product installation, registration, and updates. Open Native Access and log into your Native Instruments account to get set up.

INSTALL PRODUCTS

Install all your products from one screen, then immediately start creating. Native Access activates your installed products automatically.

ADD NEW PRODUCTS

When you buy Native Instruments hardware or a bundled product such as KOMPLETE, Native Access lets you quickly add a serial number to your account.

UPDATE PRODUCTS

See all your available updates on one convenient screen. The one-click update process in Native Access makes it fast and simple to get the latest versions of your installed products.

If the screenshots are anything to go by Native Access looks easier on the eye than Service Center.

There’s no word yet on when Native Access will be available, but you can find out more info by staying tuned to AskAudio and visiting the Native Access page.

Your article fails to note that Native Access marks the end of NI's support for offline activation, and as such is a devastating attack on those of us who are old fashioned enough to still believe in the right to have offline DAW machines as private workstations.
