FL Studio makes recording fast and fun, and one of the most useful things you can do is loop recording, either with MIDI or audio. In this short video from the course FL Studio 103: Loop Recording And Editing, Rishabh Rajan demonstrates how to set up an audio loop recording and then capture several takes so you can then choose the best, or comp together the perfect take.
In this how-to guide, Rishabh starts by creating a new audio track and setting the left and right markers between which the recording will cycle. He then sets up his audio inputs to route sound to the track, and adds an insert effect for good measure. When it's time to record, he lays down several different versions of a guitar line over the same loop while FL Studio automatically places the takes into separate lanes. From there, you can edit, comp or arrange the takes however you wish. Check out the full course for a complete guide to audio recording and editing in FL Studio.
