Korg's Kronos gets a special gold edition as well as an updated OS 3.1. We find out what's new.
Kronos is the flagship workstation in Korg's lineup and at NAMM 2017 we got a sneak peek not only at the new, limited edition gold version of the instrument itself but also of Kronos OS 3.1, an update to the operating system that brings a bunch of new features to the platform.
Many actions are performed via the touch screen and 3.1 brings additions like the ability to create quick layers and quick splits, and write these into memory patches with just a couple of taps.
The 3.1 update is available now from Korg's website.

He has been lead writer at a number of prominent music and technology publications.
