Great class. Not to slow, not too fast, just right. Very well presented. I have much more confidence now than when I first loaded up Logic Pro.

I just needed a quick refresher on LPX and this course was perfect for that. Quick and thorough but not so in depth that I wouldn't finish it. The instructor was very easy to understand and this was clearly a very well structured and produced course. On to the next one!

Thank you for this excellent course. I haven't touched Logic in years and although I am a trained sound engineer I gained a lot from your course.

Starts off great. But by video 24 it moves beyond beginner level

Amazing course from one of the v wrote on July 30, 2022
I didn't even need to watch the whole thing to tell you what I really think of this course.
Which is that it's an absolutely amazing course from one of the very best Logic teachers online and the producer of the very best of the very best Logic videos on YouTube.
I accidentally discovered Joshua Carney on YouTube under his MusicTechHelpGuy alias in 2018. Earlier that year I took the plunge and got a Mac just for Logic. I had been observing people using various versions of Logic for a number of years since the days of Windows versions, before Apple purchased eMagic, the original company behind it, made it Mac-only, and pissed off a legion of people in the process, including myself . With me being Windows-only and Logic out of reach at the time, I couldn't settle on an alternative DAW.
By the time I discovered MusicTechHelpGuy, I had already tried all the other major DAWs at that point. At various points I thought Ableton Live, Cubase, and Studio One was it for me, but still felt something missing. I resisted Logic for years, all the while hearing so many people talk so well of it and in spite of it being second only to the (at the time) ubiquitous Pro Tools as the most dominant DAW in professional settings.
At the time Carney had started a course on YouTube that he would go on to finish, and even followed it up with a second more advanced series, that took you from (almost) A to Z on all things Logic Pro X. I discovered the first series and immediately was hooked, watching the whole thing (and waiting impatiently as he released each new one).
So what is good about him and this course? Carney is one of those rare beings in this world - a gifted and natural teacher, not just a knowledgeable music tech-head, or a trained musician, or even just a person who is passionate about sharing his knowledge, all of which he is and more.
Since that time I've been following him everywhere, including here on ASKV/MPV (although I had been on here many years prior, before discovering he was here too, to my utter surprise).
Carney is a no-nonsense, 'nothing you don't need to know and everything you do' kinda teacher. He is precise, doesn't leave stuff out, doesn't fumble around in his words or sentences, and knows a tonne about what he is teaching about. (Check out his other courses if you don't believe me...).
I'm thinking about a career change and going into music, even studying in college, and I'm loath to spend 10s of 1000s of my hard-earned money. But suffice to say if I wanted to pay someone the cost of a university degree to teach me about Logic Pro X and music, it would be Carney (coincidentally he is also a tutor at college, but unfortunately for me I'm on the wrong continent...).
Trial or test-run this course, buy it if you don't plan to be on here for too long, but whatever you do, if you are wanting to see what Logic is capable of, watch it and pay attention, because it will be well worth your time and money.
