No one knows - or teaches - the legendary MPC like the Atlanta-based Hip Hop producer and MPC power-user Booker Edwards! So hop on the Booker Edwards Express as he demystifies the hardware and software that makes Akai's MPC Renaissance and Studio the beat-makers of choice for urban producers everywhere...
Before you can drive this integrated hardware/software machine, you've got to know how it works, what makes it fly and what all those mysterious controls do. Think of this course as your map, your gateway into the MPC's inner world where every feature and function is revealed and explained in exacting detail.
Booker gives you the best MPC exploration ever created, as he takes you step-by-step through every pad, knob and software function hidden deep inside this complex music production machine. As you complete this collection of tutorials, you get the perspective and confidence you need to take "control" of the MPC's controls and start pounding out your own experimental, original beats and tracks.
But a roadmap is just the beginning! In the next (advanced) course, Booker takes you and your new MPC knowledge to even higher ground where the art of beat-making rules! So if you're doing the MPC thing, learn from the best, right here, with a really great instructor (drum roll)... Booker Edwards!

Great clarity in gaining a baseline understand of the workflow and general environment. Video streaming platform is also of great quality. On to the MPC reg advanced. Only concern is there is no update to account for the V2.1.0 of the Ren Software. Updating to align with the new UI/UX would be helpful

Great introduction to the MPC Renaissance and Studio hardware and software by Booker Edwards Jr. I enjoyed hearing about the history of Akai and the MPC as well.

This was unbelievably helpful. Would LOVE to see more videos, about other features of the MPC. Sampling sounds using mics, editing the samples, some pro tips helping with the transition from "rough skeletal beat" to a full-fleshed beat. Thank you for everything, though! HIGHLY recommended.

This was an excellent tutorial! Very clear in it's presentation, information was presented in digestible segments that were easy to understand and put to immediate use working on my MPC Studio. If you are trying to get familiar with the new generation of MPCs then you need to start here.

Thorough tutorial on getting to really know MPC Studio and Renaissance. Made me aware of a couple of features that are sort of "hidden". Great for first time MPC users.

I watched quite a few videos trying to learn everything I could about my MPC Renaissance and to be honest I read the manual and I was still left with questions but not after watching these videos, I will be honest much of this first set of tutorials was things I knew how to do but then there were things I didn't know and more importantly why to do them and what I was doing them for.
I know all too well the ambition to learn just what you need to know then jump in and learn by trial and error but because I did that I am now going back to 6 months of work and re-doing all of it because of these videos, I now know if I waited any longer it would've been next to impossible to fix my errors without having to rip my work apart and re-do it all.
Do yourself a favor if you're not a MPC Renaissance guru then get these videos there is something you will learn.

Gives a good tour of the new MPC hardware. Felt a little incomplete until I watched second course as well. Over all pretty good though.
