As a video editor, you'll often need to work with logos, vector files, and other still images. Most often than not, these images need to be edited before they can be imported into your nonlinear video editing software. This is why it's a good idea to improve your Photoshop skills! In this course, you learn all the essential Photoshop workflows you need to know, so you can get these images ready to be used in your video projects.

First, you learn about the different file formats supported by Photoshop. You get a tour of the user interface and you become familar with all the important tools that you need as a video editor. Next, you learn tips to correctly format and resize logos, and you discover how to properly handle vector files without losing quality.

Kevin then shows you how to isolate elements in flattened images with the Magic Wand, and explains why it's best to work with text in Photoshop rather than your NLE app. You also get a close look at creating lower-third title graphics, how to add effects to layers, how to group elements and more... Finally, you learn how to import your layered Photoshop files into Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and Apple's Final Cut Pro X.

So join Kevin P. McAuliffe in this 20-tutorial course, and see how Photoshop CC can improve your video editing workflow!
