The best way to learn pro, cutting-edge vocal techniques is to study with a great singer. So, sit back and learn the art of singing in this 31-tutorial course by vocalist and recording artist Tammy Scheffer.
Great singers are a wonderful mix of natural ability and a lot of hard work. Up-and-coming singers often forget the hard work part and rely entirely upon their talent. In this course, by the amazing Israeli jazz/pop singer Tammy Scheffer, you learn how professional singers create sound, shape notes and construct effective harmonization in the process of developing their unique vocal styles.
Tammy starts at the very beginning with basic posture techniques and vocal warmups. You may be wondering why these tools are so important. Well, you'll just have to watch and see how using these techniques will improve your sound while, at the same time, enhance your singing career! From there you learn Tammy's extensive vocal drills. Here is where you get all kinds of tips on how to produce intervals, shape your tone, nail pitches and, of course, how to singing in perfect tune without AutoTune!
Next up are a series of tutorials that focus on the voice as an instrument. Here you learn all about jamming with the chords and creating harmony. This leads right into a wonderful section on complex vocal rhythms and improvisation.
The course comes to close with a performer's look at microphone techniques and how to incorporate "looping" devices so that you can create and improvise a complete vocal orchestra all by yourself!

I am a singer songwriter that loves music . Never had training and was surprised to see how with simple but confident instructions, I can already feel like I improve.
All musicians and athletes need to have routines of worming up , habits that help up maximize the instrument we have and improve our performances by doing things right!
Tammy is a very skilled teacher. Pleasant to watch and follow her enthusiastic instructions. A MUST FOR EVERY singer that was never trained.
Can not wait for her next video.

I liked the course and I can say I learned new things and it reinforced some things I had previously learned. I would not, however, describe it as a "101" course. It is more of a sampler course. Tammy introduces various concepts but does not delve far into any of them. She could have broken this into 3-4 more in-depth courses. Perhaps she will?

Great course on vocal techniques in the production environment! The first half of the course went through some basic principles on vocal warmups and singing techniques. The second half contained more demonstrations and advanced techniques through workflows like looping. The latter videos seemed to skip and play abruptly, which the earlier course videos and other courses on MPV have not done. I would welcome another course that went into vocal tracking and how these basic vocal skills work directly within that context.
