Logic's new Step Sequencer is a power-packed playground designed to create sequencer-style rhythmic and melodic patterns. "Step" into this 21-tutorial course, by Logic Pro expert Joshua Carney, and discover all there is to know about this new, creative tool in Logic Pro.
Imagine a sequencer with an infinite number of independent rows. Envision those rows playing back at different speeds and being different lengths in a polyrhythmic fashion. Some rows cycle forward. Other rows step backwards or access their programmed steps randomly. What about programming step probability? With a row setting labelled "Chance" you can only kind of predict what steps might actually play! That's the power of Logic's new Step Sequencer
As you can see, Step Sequencer is a lot deeper than it may seem at first glance. In fact, the more you dive into it, the more you discover its limitless possibilities. You can use it to create polyrhythmic beats, program basslines and chords, add randomness to melodic patterns, automate synth parameters, program fast trap-style hi-hat rolls with note-repeat and so much more... This course by Logic guru Joshua Carney will show you all that, and so much more.
Joshua starts by covering all the basics of the Step Sequencer. He covers the essential key commands, and explains how to program your own beats, bass and melodic patterns. Then, you get deeper in the the Step Editor advanced features. Joshua demonstrates different ways to alter the groove of your patterns and add variation using the various parameters.
There's a lot to learn, so take a "step" in the right direction and watch this in-depth Step Sequencer course now to learn the ins and outs of Logic's Step Sequencer!
Such a fun course. All the mystery is taken out of Step Sequencer and Josh provides plenty of ideas to help you on your way. If you want to get up and running with Step Sequencer, I don't imagine there's a better way in than this course by Josh.

Fantastic course. I now feel like I know Step Sequencer inside out, and can't wait to use it on my tracks. Josh is an excellent trainer – clear and concise. Although he is a true expert he always manages to pre-empt the exact questions that a beginner might have.

I enjoyed the course and learned a lot. Not only about the specific subjects of the course but also to ask my self a question. When working on music in Logic, what parameters can be used for automation (as subset of the parameters of the object at hand) and do I want a synchronized with the rhythm kind of change of them. The possibilities are indeed endless.
