    Philharmonic instrument setup in GarageBand
Hi all. Newbie here. I'm curious about creating classic melodies, but I haven't been able to "build a Philharmony" (using only built-in instruments) in GarageBand. I would really appreciate any help or pointers on how to setup these instruments in GB so I can start creating the tunes I want. Thanks in advance! Bernardo

Hi Bernardo - Are you asking about writing for orchestra or setting up an orchestral template -- here are a couple of links to videos that seem to cover both.. https://www.macprovideo.com/library/topic/orchestralsessions?afid=E470KLQ7r9 https://www.macprovideo.com/library/topic/orchestration?afid=E470KLQ7r9 https://www.macprovideo.com/course/orchestration-302-midi-orchestral-designing-templates?afid=E470KLQ7r9 GarageBand seems to have Patches for most of the orchestral sections (under Orchestral -- Strings, Winds, Brass, and Percussion), though some instruments (like timpani) seem to be found only in the Legacy category, which may not be installed on every computer..
