The New NED should work on Vista! Personallu, I thik GargeBand is better than Soundtrck. Soundtrack has some cool features, but there is no MIDI or instruments, which makes it basically just a tracking tool and loop arranger.

Hey Martin I have wanted to delve more deeply into garageband. Do you know of an external keyboard that can connect via usb and work with Garage Band? Also, any idea when Macprovideo will expand their tutorial offering? I love what you guys are doing. Believe me, I've tried the other guys and some are nice but incomplete (creative cow). Or are just really low quality and shady in their biz practices to deal with (Mac House Video Tutorials). So that leaves you guys heads and shoulders above the rest.

Hi Las Vegas Videographers, Welcome to the macProVideo forums & Glad you are enjoying the videos! There are many, many MIDI controllers and keyboards that will work with Garageband. What's your budget? How many keys/octaves would you like? Do you want it to be portable? If you have any future tutorial suggestions please post them in a new thread in the "Suggested Training" forum: http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/general/suggested-training Cheers Rounik

Hi Rounik Thanks for the response. Budget is under $800 It would be nice to have about 4 octaves and portability would be great. Any suggested keyboards to check out would be most welcome! Thanks for the tip on the Suggested Training forum. I'll stop in there and take a look to see if someone has already suggested what I'm looking for! (Tutorials for Freeway Pro wysiwyg web publisher software) Thanks Again Andrew

Hi Andrew, Do you want a 1. MIDI controller keyboard that does not have it's own sounds, but will play the sounds of instruments within Garageband? Or, 2.a MIDI Keyboard/Synthesizer - with it's own built-in sounds? If it's 1), then a few brands to check out: depending on what other knobs, faders, etc you need or whether you want weighted keys check these out: M-Audio Axiom 49 M-Audio Oxygen 49 Edirol PCR-500 Korg MicroKontrol Akai MPK 49 (MPK49) Yamaha KX49 Novation ReMOTE 49 SL Compact Korg Kontrol 49 Novation X-station 49 I haven't used all the above - so do check them out in more detail. Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks Rounik
