Re: Garageband Tutorials
Yes it is either Garageband 08 or Magic Garageband. We are still saying that there aren't any more sounds that are in Logic 8 than it uses from version 3 but the tutorial is built on version 4 as a standalone application. In other words the effects are in Logic so the tutorial applies to Logic 8. You said the effects are better does that means Logics effects are better? I thought it did but I wasn't sure. Thanks, AW

Re: Garageband Tutorials
Magic GB is a part of GB'08. Logic's effects and instruments are much much better than Garageband 08's. Logic has more e.g. Ultrabeat, Sculpture, ES2, ES1, EXS24, space designer, Match EQ, Delay Designer, Tape Delay, Guitar Amp Pro, to name but a few. Basically GB is based on Logic and though very capable is very much a lite version of Logic, without many of Logic's features, sounds, instruments and effects. Rounik

I forgot to add that a tutorial exists for Garageband '06: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/garageBand101 If you decide not to upgrade to iLife 08 but still want to explore Garageband '06 (which I believe you have) then this is the tutorial for you. :-)
