Hello, when I choose 'new project" in the project chooser, I don't see any of the templates to choose from, the screen is blank.

What version of Garageband are you running? Have you been able to see them before? The templates are located in the following folder: Macintosh HD > Library . Application Support > Garageband > Templates. There should be two folders in here. A Project and Ringtone folders. If you have nothing in this folder, then the templates are installed on your Mac. You will need to run the Garageband installer to reinstall the template files.

I have the current ver of GB, 6.0.5. I have been using GB on my iPad and only recently noticed the templates were missing since I started watching the GB '11 101 tutorial. I found out that when I installed Logic Express some time ago, it may have overwritten some features in GB. When I tried to do a reinstall, the check box for GB was grayed out. Only when I removed all the GB files in the /Library/Receipts/ folder, then moved the GB app out of my Applications folder was I able to reinstall GB.

After the reinstall can you see the templates now?
