    Sgt. Peppers was 4 track. They didn't have an 8 track until Abbey Road. Every moment of every track had to created with the utmost care and detail. Yes, they did bounce (premix) tracks... And those tracks suffered from generation loss... So they were offer EQd in advance with that in mind. Boundaries demand creative solutions. Interestingly enough, Paul offer recorded his bass parts last... After the others left. And those parts are integral to the sucess of those productions! Amazing stuff!!!!! If you want to learn a lot about recording and production, spend a year analyzing those masterpieces! Steve H.

    Was it only on 4 track at that point!? Well there we go. Interesting about Paul's recordings too. Drums and bass are typically the rhythm that everyone else goes off... different strokes n different folk... or nowt queer as folk!
