    Cross fade tool
Hi, I've got a little problem here. My cross fade tool (Logic 8) doesn't work sometimes (often). It do selects an area in the region but doesn't apply an effect. Any ideas? Thanks, Archie

Hi Archie, How are you using the cross fade tool? It only works on audio regions. It can be sued to create a fade on a single region or a crossfade between two adjoining regions. You need to select the cross fade tool and place the cursor over the inside of a region (as near the edge as you need). Now click and drag over the edge to the outside of the region (or over into the adjoining region if a crossfade is desired). Hope that helps, Rounik

Hey guys, thanks a lot! Everything's alright now. But what should I do if I need to fade (or cross fade) apple loop? Best, Archie

Hi, Just wanted to add to this thread that you also can't use the crossfade tool on an audio region recorded within Logic that is set to "follow tempo".
