how do i have percussion on different tracks
hey everyone, I've seen in a lot of the tutorials when the teachers have their drums , kick, snare etc on different midi tracks. I think this would be helpful for me too program some good beats and drum fills for my music. Has this been covered in one of the logic tutorals? I can't remeber it being so, or can you tell how to do it? thank you

Hi bequick, I think it is in one of the tutorials - maybe Logic 8 101... This works when you load say a kit in Ultrabeat or EXS24: To do this select the region with your drum pattern on and in the Arrange area choose: Region > Split/demix > Demix by note pitch You can now easily edit the separate drum parts, add different quantisation values to each part etc. To merge them back select them all and choose: Region > Merge > Regions (=) Cheers Rounik
