    24 bits
    Let see, Why capture or record in 24 bits for at the end you have to come down to 16bits, is it worth it, is this make your bounce files sound better

    you should have a better dynamic range at 24 bit(capture more volume changes per sec) try it out and see the results. remember to dither when bouncing down.

    As mtec says - it allows a greater dynamic range when recording so you can record at lower levels and not worry about increasing the gain later on - which can make a difference with 16bit. 24bit files are larger than 16 bit. Cheers Rounik
