MIDI Emulator Questions
Hi, I'm using Logic Express 8. I have a mellotron emulator and I'm not sure how to: a) Import the samples from the emulator into the Logic library or if that's even necessary. b) Somehow access those mellotron samples when adding a MIDI track and control them with my external MIDI controller. I'm virtually a novice at this sort of thing so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: MIDI Emulator Questions
Hi Pegasissy, Welcome to the forums. You'll need to give us more info on the file type(s).... Are these lots of samples in aiff or wav format? If so then you will be better off creating a new EXS24 instrument and importing them into the EXS24 Instrument Editor. In which case the EXS24 tutorial would really help you get the best out of the samples: https://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic8102 The Logic 8 101 tutorial will also help you a lot if you're a beginner in Logic: https://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/Logic8101 If the Emulators is actually an instrument/Synth then you will see a ".component" file. This should be placed in the following location: HD/Users/*Your user name*/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components Let us know how you get on & if you need any help at all do ask. Cheers Rounik
