    Node mode, older IMac
I'm looking at getting a new IMac soon. In the Logic manual, it says that any computer used for Node application must have 1 Gigabit Ethernet. I would like to use my 4 year old IMac G5 (1.6 kHz, single processor PPC) for this, with the new one running Logic Pro, but I don't know whether any of its ports matches the criteria. Any ideas?

Hi Sammydave, I think you may have gigabit ethernet - but there are a few different models of G5, so I couldn't say with any certainty. But, your iMac definitely has an ethernet port! The info will be in your iMac's manual. If you don't have that to hand, you can find this info here: http://support.apple.com/specs/#imac Cheers Rounik
