    slip tool
Hi, Can someone explain the slip tool plz, i think this tool/function lets you move audio around inside a audio region whilst leaving the region locked in a specified position. ive read a few posts about this function, on other forums but they do not explain how to use it correctly. any help guys.

There are a few different ways to do this. The easiest & most fail safe way IMHO is: - Open the audio region in the Sample Editor - Check that Edit > Compensate Region Position is NOT selected. - Making sure the Region start and Anchor points are at the same position move the region start point... and the audio region's contents will "slip". Cheers Rounik p.s. there is also a way to do this within the Arrange area, but unless you're careful it can cause all region on the same track to be shifted around.
