recording guitar on to logic
Excuse my crappiness...this is probably a really simple issue (hopefully)... I am wanting to record some guitar with logic 8.. I have a novation nio audio interface..I plug my guitar into that..then I plug that into my laptop... then.... nothing happens. I select a midi track but there's no sound. Any help? :) thanks, steve.

Hi Steve, To record guitar or audio from a mic or any line in input to your Mac you need to create an Audio Track in Logic. Record enable it (click on the little R button on the track header or on the Channel strip) and press "record" on the Transport and away you go :) You might find this free tutorial helpful: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/GBLogic and if you don't already have it, I'd recommend the Core Logic 8: Logic 101 tutorial too: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/Logic8101 But of course, ask away here whether or not you decide to go with the tutorials :) Cheers Rounik
