Setting Tempo from Live Audio Track
Hi Rounik, mpv-heads, Well, I dunno about this one but...: IS IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE TEMPO OF A SONG THAT WAS RECORDED DURING A JAM/PRACTICE AND THEN IMPORTED INTO LOGIC? That's impossible, isn't it, because the drums are not beat-mapped. Thanks. Jodie

Hey Jodie, If the 'jam' was played to a click track then separate a four bar loop and set the locators to 4 bars and use the Options > Tempo > Adjust Tempo using Region Length and Locators command. Or you can try using the BPM insert plugin, otherwise it's back to beat mapping the entire recording as best you can or manually creating your own click track(!) Cheers Rounik

Hi Jodie, - Select a software inst track - choose an instrument you like with a preset that would work for you as a metronome. - as you play through the piece manually record yourself playing a click track or draw it into a MIDI region offline. Cheers Rounik
