    Midi notes
Hi All, I was wondering how can I divide a long midi note into quarters or sixteenth notes at once. Also, if I have recorded drums as midi and I want the snare to sound as a roll or I want very fast toms... what's a good way to do it? Any suggestions? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi musica Welcome to the macProVideo forums! To divide a MIDI note into equal segments: 1. Open the Piano Roll 2. Choose the Scissors tool 3. Hold down 'Option' key and cut with the scissors at the first 16th. You'll notice that the note is split into equal segments. ---- To create a snare roll, I'd suggest using the Hyper Editor: Window > Hyper Editor Change the pen width to input a quick succession of snare notes. You can turn them into a crescendo very easily here too. Cheers Rounik
