Logic 9 First Look - Droooool
Thanks for the first look. That first video with the little refinements makes me at least as excited as the new features. If Soundtrack Pro 3 turns out to be actually stable, and Logic gets really solid in this release, I'll be really happy. Even though the upgrade is too expensive for me to buy right now, I'm excited by Apple's recent concentration (in Logic Studio and Snow Leopard) at least as much on polishing existing functionality as coming up with new features.

Hey Joe! I completely agree... the small details make it! I love the Flex tool. In my tiny tests so far it works really really well. Can be used in a creative way too. Bounce in place: Simply wonderful. Notes: As Steve showed. GREAT! CPU friendly? So far sooo good. I could swear that a project with 2 Omnispheres, 1 RMX and plenty of space designers and Ultrabeats and Sculptures and EXS24's etc etc was struggling on Logic 8. No longer on Logic 9 :) Speed Fades: Lovin' it Interface: Can't put my finger on it, but slight difference in color or something... (probably just my perception) Plugins: WOW. Can now view a plugin upto 200% of it's original size. Bring on Ultrabeat and Sculpture! Installation: A breeze. So far, everything seems fine. No issues or glitches at all. Contextual menus with sub categories - so simple, but so effective. For me it's the small things like this that make my workflow quicker... :) Rounik
