    Layering
I am following Martin's instructions on layering instruments in a new layer in the environment, but it does not appear to be working. When I cable 2 or 3 objects together they work, but when I try to add the instrument object, only the first sound plays.. not all 2 or 3 that i have cabled up. Any suggestions or settings I might not know about ? Anything would help. Thanks !

Hi! Maybe there is a cable not connected? What I do: - Open the Environment's Mixer layer. - New > Instrument - Cable the Instrument's output to a Software Instrument Channel strip. Repeat the above for as many instruments as I wish to control. - Create a new track in the Arrange. - Assign that track to the 'Instrument object' (if you can see both the Arrange and Environment on screen, try dragging the 'Instrument' on to the new Track Header to quickly assign it). - Play your keyboard and you'll notice that you can now play both tracks. Let me know if this helps. :) Rounik

I don't know what it is but nothing seems to work.. I can cable together two instruments and they work together, but if I use the instrument then they don't play together. Hmm.. I really appreciate you trying to help ! Nick

Hi Nick, I'm finding it hard to understand where it's going wrong for you. It's very hard to see from here ;-) Could you either upload a couple of screenshots showing the Environment and the Arrange area... or if you wouldn't mind uploading your project to this public forum so I can have a look at it. I would compress the Logic file or folder and then use sendspace or sendit to upload the file and then post the link here. Thanks Rounik
