**Topic : Reason instruments hanging while editing in Logic 9** http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10244693#10244693 There is no apparent roadmap to users and no foundation for Apple to ever develop Logic Pro to ever have full 64 bit capability. More features get added, requiring more resources, but nothing besides the EXS24 can access hybrid 64 Bit memory in each new release since Logic Pro 8. Only Mac OS will be 64 Bit. Just a bunch of hopes and prayers by loyal users. **Topic : Logic 8 64-bit and More RAM** http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7660966 **Logic, memory, 64 bit, snow leopard, wtf** http://www.macosxaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=46875&start=30 **Topic : Logic Studio 9 - 32 bit Carbon or 64 bit Cocoa?** http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9921650 Studio One is sure to have full 64 bit capability with Snow Leopard and Presonus is forthcoming with their plans of this occurring to demo users. **Presonus Forums Studio One-Snow Leopard??** "Our hardware will work in Snow Leopard but only in 32 bit mode for now with the current beta version. By the time the final driver is released it will have full 64 bit capability. If you are signed up for the beta program, you'll receive notification to try the 64bit builds. __________________ Rick Naqvi Vice President of Sales rnaqvi@presonus.com 800.750.0323 x0641" http://forums.presonus.com/showthread.php?t=9466&highlight=snow+leopard

"So how is the new build coming for S1?" "It's coming along...this requires a complete test cycle, so it's laborious...but it is moving along. __________________ Jonathan Hillman Product Manager jghillman@presonus.com" http://forums.presonus.com/showthread.php?t=9466&page=2&highlight=snow+leopard

With all due respect neither you nor I, an Apple Certified Trainer, know the roadmap of Logic. Only the Logic developers @ Apple know & are working on this. It seems to me, having read through your posts once again, you are indeed either affiliated with Presonus or have an anti Logic agenda... I hope you understand that our policy on these forums is to delete spam and commercial posts. I'd prefer to give you the benefit of the doubt, so let's just leave this thread as it is. Best Rounik

There was someone doing the same thing over at the Apple Forum a couple of weeks back who was also perceived to be propagandizing the Presonus DAW. FYI. Glenn

Hi Glenn, Thanks for the info. Out of interest was that thread deleted? Do you have a link to it? My patience has run out with this Pro-Presonus and Anti-Logic/Apple thread to be honest. I was quite keen to try out Studio One, but having to deal with this thread I'm now sick of hearing about it. Also I don't agree with the marketing ploy of putting down Logic in order to make Studio One look better. It's an 'anti' policy which generate bad vibes IMHO and paints a very inaccurate and unhelpful picture. It's quite old hat So, unfortunately, this little advertising spam by Presonus has lost them my respect at least and put me off recommending their products to clients and schools I work with. So, just for the record, anymore links or perceived Logic/Apple bashing or eulogising about Studio One without reason added to this thread will be considered as Spam and deleted. If anyone has a genuine issue or gripe with Logic - then like the vast majority of our good members - please start a new thread. Thanks, Rounik

I don't hang there enough to know if the thread was officially deleted, but a search of 'PreSonus Studio One' yields no direct matches, so I assume that it was deleted. It is likely that the more alert people there must have reported it. Same M.O. as here, though. Glenn
