EXS Sample Issues
Ok I have an Image of a range of Samples I imported of a PAD into the EXS24, when I hit the note on my midi keyboard it's playing the root note plus a higher pitch. How can I fix this? Its doing this on like 3 notes on my keyboard. I also have a picture of the way it's suppose to sound.

Hi K1, I can't see in your picture if you have that zone's pitch box checked or unchecked. Which notes which are playing back at the wrong pitch? Are they shown in the picture you uploaded? Cheers Rounik

it's playing the root note and an octave higher seems like. If you see where the shaded areas are that the notes that are being played. here is a picture of what it's suppose to sound like. See how the shaded regions are next to each other. In other picture it's not.

Have you scrolled along in the top area of the EXS24 editor and checked that one zone's Pitch checkbox is not set differently? Try also opening both zones in the sample editor within the EXS24 and make sure the original file(s) playback as desired. :) Rounik

here is the other pic. I even tried to uncheck the pitch box on the higher note to see if it fixed anything, still sounds off but different.

Hi K1, Not sure what you mean by "still sounds off but different." Is there any chance you can: 1. Try this sampler instrument in a new project? 2. Upload a new project with the sampler instrument included so I can troubleshoot this? Cheers Rounik

when I uncheck the pitch box it sounds o.k. but the range of notes G4-A#4 all sound the same now. http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7987/picture1c.png

Hi K1, I see. You need to keep the pitch box checked then. Looking at the picture you will see that the two zones named 'G4-A#4' whose keyranges are actually G3-A#3 have a different have different keys assigned to them. I the pitch section one of them is set to C1 and the other is set to E2. I think these need to be set to the same pitch. :) Rounik

Ahh I set the C1 pitch and E2 to both be G3 and it fixed the issue. I think the Synth is set up to play two ranges G4-A#4, G3-A#3 to have a fuller PAD sound, but it was sounding off when the C1 and E2 were playing on top of it.
