    Logic vs Soundforge
Hi all, I was just wondering how people feel about soundforge as a mastering suite and why we would invest in it rather than using Logic. Is it vastly superior to Logic as a mastering/production suite? I've noticed that many companies demand experience in using both DAWs and applications like Sound Forge from applicants looking for work. Cheers, John

    Re: Logic vs Soundforge
Hi John, I have heard and seen many good things about Sony's SoundForge. It's possibly the only reason I would have for wanting to run Windows... (eek ;) That said, Soundforge cannot really be compared to Logic. Yes, they both offer Mastering facilities, but my understanding is Soundforge specializes in audio editing, so a comparison with Sound Track Pro would be more suitable as both are audio editors at heart. Learning the basics of Sound Forge is a good idea if you're entering the jobs market and it is required knowledge. Cheers Rounik
