Re: Importing Ableton Live .ALS fi...
Hi Sami,
Ableton and Apple and Digidesgn/Avid and Steinberg are all separate companies and you won't find that projects from any of these DAWs can be opened by a rival company's DAW.
Even if it was in their interests to allow users of other DAWs to import their projects into a rival DAW the logistics or programming this would be immense... and of course how is it possible to ensure compatability of a Live project using different plugins and audio mixing engine with Logic?
Garageband is a little brother of Logic - it's actually written using much of the same code, which is why Apple have enabled GB to Logic project conversions.
So, yes, I'm afraid you'll need to export all tracks from Live. Then simply drag all the tracks into the Arrange area of a new project in Logic and you'll have the option to create tracks for all the new audio files.
