    Hi Dave, Yikes... I have asked for it ;-)) OK... if you're doing more detailed audio edits and especially if you're concerned with "search zero crossings: being enabled I'd use the Sample Editor or zoom real close in the Arrange area to perform the edit, either with Marquee tool or with the scissors... If you want to use the marquee tool to select the area of the audio region... then after doing so click on the "Set locators" button in the Toolbar and the cycle area will be set to the Marquee selection. Another way is to marquee select an area. Switch the Drag mode to "Shuffle R". Press Delete to delete the Marquee selection. Apply a quick cross fade (control+Shift-drag over the two region boundaries)... Let me know if this helps (or not ;) Rounik
