    Multi-Outputs: Ultrabeat vs. EXS24
Regarding multi-output versions of UB or the EXS, I believe I can open any instrument from the EXS in UB. If this is true, and seeing how easy it is to assign sounds to individual channel strips in UB (and not so easy in EXS), what advantages would the EXS offer?

Preliminary questions... In terms of advantages of UB over EXS (or vice versa), is it that you're looking to import drum samples into one or the other? (And if you're importing samples, what style of music are you doing?)

I'm opening various Logic kits as a multi, to enable tweaking of the individual sounds, giving me more control over my mixes. I'm stylistically all over the map these days - some electronica, alt-rock, various ethnic fun & games... I've always used UB, but just watched a couple of tutorials showing the method of opening a multi in the EXS, which seemed less direct than the UB method, and for drum programming, I thought the EXS looked less useful.
