    As a follow up, if you're not worried by the VC signal being slightly out of sync before it's recorded to audio, but really want it bang-on after it's recorded to audio, then the no-fuss solution would be to record ([i]the wrong way[/i]) through the inputs. The MIDI notes will then of course be slightly early, but that may or may not be a problem. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve in that particular instance. The important thing is to understand the cause and effect of things, so that you can make the best (and easiest) choice for a given situation. Tom
