Wow... going from 160 bpm to 68... are you doing ambient DnB? ;-) Actually what I'm doing is trying to build a song around a sound I constructed while working through SteveH's tutorial on the ES2. It's sort of an almost "churchy" sounding, slowly morphing organ, using both the LFOs and also using the vector to control the triangle. I've sort of made a commitment to write a song for every tutorial I do, so I'm actually using the things I learn in my music instead of just learning it from an academic point of view. I liked the beat with all the artifacts because it sounds kind of creepy and cool at the same time, which I think also describes the organ sound. Without getting too political, I had a friend sort of dare me to write a song about some recent efforts in some states to break down the boundaries between Church and State. The tentative title of the song is "Theocracy." No lyrics as of yet. Just a concept and some parallel 4ths in E minor. Hard to write a politically themed song without it coming off sounding sanctimonious itself, I find. A sanctimonious song bewailing the dangers of sanctimoniousness... shoot me now if that's the song I end up writing... So, anyway, I'm very grateful you're there to offer up your Logic wisdom. My best to you. M

That sounds like a great idea (creating a song per tutorial). I often find someone doing something similar! No shooting on the this forum... it's all good :-) Let me know how you get on - and we're always around to be of help if we can! Best Rounik
