Recording Midi and Audio at the same time
Hi I am trying to figure out if there is a way to record an audio track and a MIDI track at the same time using the same external instrument (i.e. my MPC 2000xl-ASR 10-Triton Le- Micro Korg). I got as far as creating an external instrument in logic but when I press record the MIDI track does nothing. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Skales

Hi Skales, Welcome to the MPV forums :) If you need to record form multiple tracks then both tracks need to have the "record ready" buttons enabled. These can be found on the track header. On The MPV Hub (Our Digital Magazine) there's an excellent two-part guide on setting up External Instruments in Logic: http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/midi/setting-up-external-midi-instruments-in-logic-part-1 http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/midi/setting-up-external-instruments-in-logic-part-2 Hope this helps too.
