    Varispeed Artifacts
Hello I am working on a project that has audio and midi tracks, used flex time editing, automation etc... I bounced all tracks in place to save my processor and continued editing. now as the project is nearing completion the performer has requested to speed up the recording; I thought "cool I can finally try out varispeed" I increased "speed only" at 5% and it seems to be producing some artifacts; when I increase with "speed and pitch" it seems to work fine... except that I don't like the pitch change. Thoughts? Jeff

Hi Jeff, Varispeed can work well... but I'd use it primarily to test tempo changes for an entire project and then go back to the original tracks and increase the global tempo that way... Probably not what you want to hear... :)

Live and learn, I guess :( by changing the global tempo with audio tracks that would change the pitch right? Jeff

    No. The pitch wouldn't change.

When I changed the global tempo... regions played out of time with each other.

Make sure ALL audio regions have Flex enabled.
