Yes, you can add quick fade ins and outs using the fade tool.
once you have the fade tool click/hold and drag over the ends of regions to create fades. You can then:
* move the start point by click/hold on the start line and moving it left or right
* change the shape of the curve by clickhold above or below the fade line and moving hte mouse up or down.
if you have two regions that meet you can also swipe across both of them to create a crossfade.
