    Automation nodes in Logic
Is there a command that simplifies automation for a track? In other words, if I've drawn automation with tons of nodes, can I reduce the number of nodes? I did a quick search on MPV, but didn't find anything, but I'm sure I've seen this somewhere, although it could be in ProTools...

Hi sammydave, I don't think there is a simplify automation feature like this in Logic. If you have drawn in alot of automation nodes, you can reduce the amount by clicking on the nodes again to delete them. I also remember seeing something like this where you could drag something over the automation nodes, and it would eliminate the nodes but have the automation curve you had drawn in with the nodes. I don't remember if it was Logic or another DAW either. I will do some checking and let you know.
