Suggestions for replacing a Zoom H-4 Digital Recorder
I have been using a Zoom H-4 Digital recorder for a couple of years, mostly just to live record my performances with a singer songwriter I write with and a Rock & Roll Band I play harmonica with. It was recently stolen and I am trying to decide how to replace it. I am considering just buying another H-4 but before I do I've downloaded iMic recorder for iPhone and it seems pretty capable. Does anyone out there have any ideas about the pro's and cons of using the iMic recording software or any other digital recorders other than the Zoom H-4?? Any info will be appreciated. I will be using the recorder as a system for doing digital Logic Pro on my MacBook Pro Laptop. Thanks Honusong

Hi Honusong, Did you use the H4 as an audio interface as well with your system, or only as a field recorder? That is the one benefit of the H4. It could be used as both.
