Ultrabeat Velocity level upside down
Hey all This is really bizarre. I just completed Steve H's ultrabeat Tutorial -- great stuff. When I went to adjust the velocity of the kick drums in the sequence editor on the ultrabeat, the velocity response was upside down i.e. when i raise the velocity volume it turns it down. Am I missing something? I tried the same sort of thing on another soft synth and it works fine. On my screenshot below, beat 11 is considerably quieter than beat 1 -- which makes no sense. Thanks! Hi Misha, Yes, that Ultrabeat tutorial is such a great one! The green "via" ring is set too low in your screenshot, that's why the velocity is reversed. Set the red, blue and green rings like in my screenshots and it will solve your problem! BTW, if you want to control the dynamics of your sound (all 3 OSC) as a whole via velocity, it's best to use the global Voice Volume instead. But it doesn't really matter in your example because you are only using OSC 1, but keep this in mind if you use more than one OSC. Have fun with Ultrabeat! :)
