Superior Drummer's bounce feature
I'm totally new to Logic 9, as well as Superior Drums. I've read where you can use SD's bounce feature (more fexiblility) to route all mics to Logic audio channels in real time. I'm trying to figure out how to do this... and I'm totally lost. I've got an Imac 3.7 - 16G ram, and this should definitely be enough to do what I've been told, but {DOING IT} and understanding the how's and why's is a big curve for someone just starting out. I've got an MPD32 for my pads, as well as sounds coming from Logic (a big thing for me) and what my goal is, is to tap my own grooves (pop and acoustic rock, nothing heavy). I just wish to be able to record one piece of the kit at a time, and to have control over each piece in real time. Could you, or is there any novice step by step instructions that will help me realize this goal? (I've watched the Toby Pitman, but it's a bit vague, or over my head). I've looked over some other online tutorials and advice, but there explaination usually seems to be aimed at much more experienced SD/Logic users. It's a "step by step" that I'm looking for. Thanks Jimmy

In this Logic tutorial Steve explains in the last step how to setup a multi-out version of Ultrabeat. This way each drum pad is sent to a different track in Logic. You can mix and process each drum track different. http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic9204 The same steps can be taken with Superior Drummer is you setup a multi-mode version of it in Logic. Steve's Logic TNT2 is also a great tutorial to watch on working with multi-out and multi-timbral instruments such as Superior drummer http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic9303tnt2 With these tutorials and the Super Drummer tutorial by Toby you should have a good understanding on working with this instrument in Logic. This will give you an idea of how to setup a multi out Instruments with Ultrabeat. Sue the same steps with Superior Drummer. But make sure its set to Multi Out mode when you add it as an instrument to an Instrument Track http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/logic-pro/logic-quick-tip-multioutput-drum-processing-ultrabeat
