trouble buying Logic X at the App Store
Hello, not sure if this is an OK topic for the forum - if not please let me know. I'm just having no luck with the App Store support people and I thought someone here may be able to shed light. I have $232.00 in iTunes money (like regular money but it's fun) and Logic X ($199.99) is still not downloadable to me. The App Store keeps asking how I would like to pay. The support person (Claire) emailed me back saying she thought it might be a local sales tax issue. In Ontario, sales tax is 13% which brings me to $225.99, still well under my account. Now Claire is saying I should get a credit card or add more iTunes money to my account. Would anyone know why the App Store doesn't like my money? Has anyone had similar issues that were resolved? Any insights much appreciated. cc

Hey there Maybe it is becasue of the exchange rate from US to Canadian dollars?: 199.99 $US = 206.56 $Canadian 13% of 206.56 = $26.85 $206.55 + $26.85 = $232.41 What denomination is your itunes credit in? US or Canadian? Cheers Hamish

That is a good point. I will add $15 to cover that possibility and try again tonight. Thanks Hamish! cc

Well, I've added the $15 and App Store still wants me to 'verify payment method'. I've bought nearly $250 CAD in iTunes money which covers the exchange rate and my local sales tax, and I still can't download this app. The Apple Support people seem to think it's not their problem ("I see no error on my end"). This is getting me a bit excited. cc
